Think Australia, and certain images come to mind: beautifully swaying coral on the Great Barrier Reef, the Sydney Opera House (one of the most-photographed landmarks in the world), cuddly koalas, kicking back with a longneck and a skewer of shrimp on the barbie.

Cooliris lets you enable your Web Site for 3D

Now, in addition to the "full featured" option on Cooliris's Developer page, there's a new "Quick and Simple" option that promises to work on most sites. All you have to do is enter in your URL, and, after some tests are performed, you're provided with an XML file and some embed code to add to your site. The entire process is said to take about ten minutes, but in our testing, it was even quicker than that. clipped from www.readwriteweb.com We've been fans of Cooliris, the browser plugin formerly known as PicLens, for quite some time . This plugin transforms a normal 2D web page into an immersive 3D experience for viewing photos and videos. It allows you to fly through all the media on a page, zoom in and out, watch the videos full screen or view the pictures in a slideshow format, and so much more. However, the one problem with Cooliris was the limited number of sites that supported it. As of now, that's about change.

Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll in Amsterdam

In March, Amsterdam’s Red Light District held its second open day. Last weekend Gay Pride attracted over 500,000 people, in October the amazing pyrotechnic hard rock Robodock festival will be staged and in November – the Cannabis cup. Armed with a list of 25 establishments opening their doors and flinging back their red curtains, crowds of wide-eyed tourists and locals seized the opportunity of the “Red Light Open Day” to see a prostitute’s bedroom, watch a brief live peep-show or chat to a lap dancer. RedLightOpenDay “The open day is partly to promote the red light district but also to help change the image of the area because we think it is too negative” said organiser Mariska Majoor, a former prostitute who now runs an information centre on the district. “There are not just problems here”, she added. Organisers of Amsterdam's 13th annual Gay Pride festival, which ended on Sunday, said the annual canal parade on Saturday drew a record crowd of more than 500,000. 80 boats full of
